What We Do

PossAbility Unlimited seeks to provide Community, Adaptation, Respite, and Education (C.A.R.E.) for individuals affected by spinal cord injury and their caregivers. We do this by providing retreats and educational support

Help Out By Donating

Providing Care

Local and National Support

  • PossAbility provides respite retreats that serve individuals with spinal cord injuries (age 18+) as well as their caregivers
  • Lodging is bunk style
  • Retreats run for a long weekend twice a year (spring and fall)
  • Follow PossAbility’s social media pages on Facebook and Instagram to get dates for the next event
  • Retreat locations may vary but current location is in Martinsville, Indiana, just south of Indianapolis

Providing Support

Worldwide Support

  • Education is provided on our site: paralysis-support.org
  • Education includes video with instructions on catheterizations, bowel programs/digital stimulation, showers, dressing/undressing, skin checks, basic transfer skills, preventing pressure wounds, and more
  • Videos are done by an NP and an RN and individuals with paralysis are models for the videos
  • Real individuals and real bodies are shown in the videos (unique to our training) but heads are blurred for privacy; this allows you to see “real world” demonstrations relevant to life at home and outside of a hospital
  • Have a need that you do not see featured? Let us know and we can add it to our future video list.

I love the community we have here. You should come!
