About PossAbility Unlimited
Our Mission
To provide Community, Adaptation, Respite, and Education (CARE) for individuals affected by spinal cord injury.
Our History
Lauren Harmison created Camp PossAbility (501[c]3) to meet needs of individuals with physical disabilities who had high cognitive abilities
First camp week of PossAbility, held at Bradford Woods
PossAbility chose to focus their programs on meeting the unique needs of those with spinal cord injuries
After 8 years of camp, the board of PossAbility chose to end camp weeks and focus on retreats and education. Camp PossAbility then underwent the name change to “PossAbility Unlimited”
PossAbility had its first ever retreat and included caregivers; the retreat was such a success that it was decided to have retreats twice a year.
Paralysis Support, PossAbility's video education platform, was debuted.
